Real Rap Philly Campaign Launch Events
Real Rap Philly (RRP), a campaign from Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), is celebrating its launch with two events. Real Rap Philly seeks to improve the sexual and reproductive health outcomes of youth ages 12-24 in the Greater Philadelphia region and encourages them to get “real” about their sexual health.
On September 22 at City Hall, PHMC’s Real Rap team will host City officials, partners, youth organizations and stakeholders to discuss the campaign and encourage youth to take action by talking about their issues with parents, peers and caregivers.
Dr. N. Nina Ahmad, Philadelphia's Deputy Mayor for Public Engagement, will address the status of Philadelphia’s adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and PHMC leadership will discuss the need for Real Rap Philly’s programs in our communities. Attendees of this event will also hear directly from youth who participated in creating this brand.
On September 23, Real Rap Philly will host a launch event specifically for Philadelphia’s youth. The event includes a free concert by Philly’s own Good Girl, music by DJ Kid Roc and MC Knowledge as well as free food and free STD testing. The event is open to the public.
